We at Roof Tek are committed to height safety in the domestic construction industry. We understand the issues involved in height safety and the need to protect the health and safety of our workforce. Roof Tek has 5 different guard rail systems available, each designed to meet individual job specifications, including height, slope of block, and pitch of roof, as well as consideration of surrounding buildings. Guard rail is a more cost efficient and viable alternative to full perimeter scaffolding.
That said, perimeter scaffolds are sometimes required when the height or pitch of the roof exceeds the following safety regulations:
- have complete engineering certification.
- have WorkCover (NSW) plant registration. (NSW REGISTRATION ALSO COVERS QLD).
- comply with Australian Standard requirements of AS/NZS 4994 Parts 1 and 2 for guard rail.
- comply with Australian Standard requirements of AS/NZS 1576, AS6001 and AS1657 for working platforms.
